Unicorn Surprise Fruit Funk

Sinterklaas is coming again, how quickly time flies. No idea yet what to make for a surprise this year? We will give you a helping hand with a super fun and easy surprise that you can put together last minute.

What do you need?

  • Box of Unicorn happy bags 14x
  • Other box
  • 2 toilet rolls
  • 2 types of wrapping paper (color of your choice)
  • Thick A4 paper
  • Cardboard
  • Gift ribbons in cheerful colors
  • This file
  • Colored (glitter) adhesive tape
  • Glue
  • Pair of scissors
  • Black marker

Grab it  box with the Unicorn Happybags and the remaining empty box. The box with the Happybags in it becomes the head of the Unicorn. The remaining box becomes the body of the Unicorn. If you want to give a gift, put it in the empty box first. Now neatly wrap both boxes with wrapping paper. Tip: choose a cheerful color of wrapping paper so that your Unicorn looks festive.

Continue with the head of the Unicorn, so take the wrapped box of the Happybags. Print cut out the eyes on thick paper, cut them out and stick them in the right place on the box. Now cut out a small piece of a different color of wrapping paper and stick it around one end of the box, this will form the face of the Unicorn. Complete the face by drawing a mouth and nose on it with a black marker. Then you continue with the horn, which seems very difficult but it is not so bad. You take a piece of wrapping paper and roll it up diagonally into the shape of a horn. Have you found the perfect position? Tape the horn closed. If necessary, cut the horn straight across at the bottom and stick it on the head.

Now make the wings. Draw a wing on cardboard and cut it out. Trace the cut-out wing onto a new piece of cardboard. This gives you two identical wings. Wrap the wing with cheerful paper.

After this you start with the legs of the Unicorn. Cut both toilet rolls exactly in half. Wrap all four legs with wrapping paper. To complete the legs, you can choose to roll colored (glitter) tape around the end of the leg.

Now it's time to glue the legs, body, wings and head together. First stick the toilet rolls under the body. It is important that the legs (toilet rolls) are firmly under the box, so that the surprise does not fall apart. Now stick the head onto the body. Make sure you stick the head far enough onto the body so that it doesn't tilt. Finally, glue the wings onto the body. Now you can start with the finishing touches. Cut a few pieces of gift ribbon, curl them and stick them on the head as the mane and on the body as the tail.

Your surprise is now ready to give as a gift. Happy Sinterklaas!
